This Delectable Dark-skined Nigerian Lady Is An Actress Like No Other.

She is Nollywood’s best, and one of the best in Africa and recognized as a great talent all across the world. Started as a child actress in the now rested soap opera “Ripples” a Zib Ejiro’s production and today, she has become one of the biggest names of Nollywood and other big production industries across the world.

Her name is Genevieve Nnaji, a Nigerian actress, producer and director, she came into limelight in the year 1998, when she featured in a movie with the tittle “Most Wanted” that was at the age of 19, and have never looked back from then on, it has been from one success story to another.

Born into a humble family of eight children and the fourth child of Mr and Mrs Nnaji, Genevieve Nnaji has been a hard worker from the word go, being the reason she had to feature in a production at the age of 8 so as to assist her then Engineer father and nursery School teacher mother.

She was born in Mbaise, Imo state Nigeria, in 1979,  she grew up in Lagos State and was a student of Methodist Girls College Yaba, Lagos, and a graduate of Creative Arts at the University of Lagos (Unilag).

Since Genevieve started her career as a child, she has since featured in a good number of movies including “Most wanted” which was her break into limelight, “Last Party”  “Mark of The Beast” “Ijele” and a host of others.

“Lionheart” is a movie directed by Genny as she’s popularly called by her friends, a movie produced on the 7th of October 2018, this was her directorial debut film as it was immediately acquired by Netflix, making it.the very first Nigeria’s number one original movie on Netflix.

At age 16 she fell pregnant while still in secondary School, dropped out of school to give birth and after she put to bed at 17, she returned back to complete her secondary education before proceeding to Unilag for her bachelor’s degree in Creative Arts.Genevieve Nnaji and her daughter Theodora.

Nnaji is a mother of a beautiful look alike daughter by name, Chimebuka Theodora Nnaji who got married in 2016 and is a mother of one, making the delectable, Darks-kined Nollywood goddess the youngest grandmother in Nollywood at age 43.Genevieve and her grandson.

The veterans actress has won many awards including the Africa Movie Academy  Awards (AMAA) for Best Actress in a Leading Role, in 2005, making her the first actor to win the award. For her contribution to Nollywood industry, she was honoured as a Member of of the Order of the Federal Republic by the Nigerian government in 2011.on the set of a movie.

In November 2015, she produced her first movie titled “Road to Yesterday” and in 2016, she added another feather to her cap, as she won the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards. Before she directed Lionheart in 2018. A women’s activist who advocates for the Nigerian girls to be able to have a say in who they decide to marry, Genevieve Nnaji is against early marriage for the girl child.

She is strongly against this and calls it child abuse, she is a strong advocate for social justice and she is also a feminist who is not against men in anyway, but that every woman she be allowed to make their own choices and be free to do what they believe to be the right thing.

Genevieve Nnaji has acted along side big names like, Pete Edochie, Olu Jacobs, Jim Iyke, RMD,  Ramsey Noah, Chidi Mokeme, Kanayo O Kanayo, Pat Atta, Tony Umez, Patience Ozokwor, Joke Sylvia, Ngozi Ezeonu, Sola Sobowale, Uche Jombo, Rita Dominic and more. She has been active since 1998 till date and still waxing stronger and stronger.
