Les Fauves of the Central African Republic defeated the Super Eagles of Nigeria 1 goal to nothing in the Teslim Balogun stadium Lagos and most fans would have concluded that if the re-match was played in CAR home,it will give it advantage to also get another three points to put Les Fauves on top of the group C.
However the return leg has been played in the city Douala Cameroon the with the Super Eagles of Nigeria winning 2-0 against hosting side.
Les Fauves lost the advantage to host at home stadium due the Central African Republic failing the CAF’s venue inspection.
In August the Confederation of African Football CAF barred eight African countries from hosting matches due to failed CAF inspection.
The countries barred are Mali,Burkina Faso, Central Africa Republic, Djibouti, Guinea Bissau, Malawi, Namibia and Niger Republic.
