With Edouard Mendy set to depart Stamford Bridge for the Africa Cup of Nations in January, Chelsea appear to have already started planning for his absence.
According to Fichajes, the Blues have set their eyes on Barcelona goalkeeper Marc Andre ter Stegern.
It is suggested that despite the German’s poor form this season, Thomas Tuchel sees his countryman as a viable upgrade of Kepa Arrizabalaga between the sticks and that the club are potentially planning to do a deal for his services.
However, any move is not expected to be easy, with Barcelona appearing keen on retaining ter Stegen’s services.
