Chelsea vs Juventus: Why Tuchel Should Bench These Players And Replace With Havertz And Others.

Chelsea ended the week with a loss to title holders Manchester City on Saturday afternoon. The blues were totally outclassed by Pep Guardiola’s men as they lost 1-0 at home.

Gabriel Jesus strike was the only goal that separated the two side. Mancity could have scored more but thanks to Chelsea’s goalie, Edouard Mendy, who denied Manchester City’s attackers on several occasions.
Meanwhile the blues would be looking to regain their winning mentality as they travel to Italy for their champions league game against Italian Giants, Juventus.

Seeing how Chelsea players performed against Manchester city on Saturday, here are three players Tuchel should bench and who should replace them as they take on Juventus on Wednesday;

1. Jorgingo

Known to be the engine room for Chelsea, the UEFA men’s player of the year failed to deliver against Manchester city.He was replaced in the second half of the game by Ruben Loftus-Cheek after failing to perform to his usual high standards.

2. Timo Werner

One obvious discovery about Timo Werner in the game against Manchester City was the fact that he lacked connection with Lukaku.Timo Werner made some good runs on the right side, but he had no help. Werner only took two shots throughout the game and created almost no opportunities for his teammates.

3. Marcos Alonso

Chelsea’s wing back was missing in action against Manchester City. Alonso should have been one of Chelsea’s few attacking options, but he did nothing. His defending was poor, and his offensive abilities were non-existent.Players who should replace the above listed Players

1. Ruben Loftus-Cheek For Jorgingo

Ruben deserves a first start of the season. Ruben Loftus-Cheek shone multiple times, despite coming from the bench, that he is ready to make impact. He was impressive against Mancity on Saturday and should get the chance to prove himself in the Champions League.

2. Kai Havertz For Timo Werner

Pulisic and Mount are both expected to miss the game on Wednesday due to injuries. As a result, Timo Werner’s best replacement against Juventus is Kai Havertz.

As we’ve seen in previous games, he understands Lukaku and knows how to pair with him in attack.

3. Ben Chilwell For Marcus Alonso

Alonso should be rested for the game against Juventus. His poor performance against a fast Manchester city side suggest that Chilwell Should start against Juventus who plays similar football to Manchester city.
