Human rights lawyer and activist Mr. Femi Falana has send strong message to the soldiers indicted in the Lagos State endsars panel report.
Speaking Thursday morning on channels tv morning show sunrise daily, the activist said there’s no law that empowers the Millitary to manage internal protest and questioned the way and manner he security cameras were disabled during the protest at the Lekki toll gate.
Falana who adviced the Military to read the report when it is eventually released and recalled how Lai Muhammed the Minister of information said no one was killed at the toll gate and the AGF, Malami saying there were no Millitary at the venue until video of the scene went viral.
Falana speaking also question the blame game at the time of who has powers to deploy troops, saying only the President Commander in Chief has the powers under the law. The rights lawyer said the Constitution only empowers the police to provide protection to protesters.
The rights lawyer has warned that there’s no room anymore for cover up that if the state is unwilling or unable to prosecute indicted persons or groups, it will surely be taken up at the ICC.
No response from the presidency yet and the president who had been away just returned, we only wait to hear from him.
