Ikoyi Building Collapse : Lagos State Government Sends Strong Message To Anyone Found Culpable.

The Lagos State Government has send a strong message to anyone or group of persons found to be culpable concerning the collapsed 21-storey building in Ikoyi on Monday.

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered indefinite suspension of the General Manager of the Lagos State Building Control Agency, LASBCA, Mr.Gbolahan Oki, an architect.

The suspension followed the collapse of a 21 storey building at Gerrard Road, Ikoyi on Monday, in which over 15 persons have been confirmed dead and several others still trapped and feared dead in the debris.

In a statement the Governor Babajide has said the government will surely find out what went wrong and punish those indicted.

Speaking with channels TV reporter a woman whose NYSC daughter is yet to be rescue, said her daughter Zainab is an IT student at the construction site and some local food vendors confirmed seeing her returning to the site before the collapse. She begs the state government to help reduce her daughter .
