Reports: Chelsea Midfielder Prepares To Join New Club When Transfer Window Opens

Chelsea experience midfielder reportedly prepares to join a new club when the transfer window opens.

The blues despite winning the UEFA Champions League last season are keen on achieving more success under manager Thomas Tuchel and have splashed the cash during the summer transfer window.

The West London club confirmed the additions of Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Bettinelli to bolster their squad during the summer.

And that has quite worked as expected so far as the Blues are currently leading the Premier League table after their latest 1-0 victory over Brentford on Saturday.

However, Chelsea could now be rocked with reports that experienced central midfielder Ross Barkley could leave the club when the transfer window opens. The 27-year-old England International, who joined Chelsea from Merseyside club Everton in 2018 has been in and out of the Chelsea first-team squad over the previous seasons.

The experienced playmaker was loaned out to Aston Villa during the 2020/2021 season where he made 27 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist in total.

Ross Barkley is currently back at Stamford Bridge but he is still finding it difficult to break into manager Thomas Tuchel’s starting eleven and has made just three appearances in all competitions so far.

It is believed that the midfielder is disappointed with his lack of regular game time and he is planning to leave the club when the transfer window.

And according to reports fromĀ Daily Mail, Premier side Burnley are willing to offer him a lifeline when the transfer window opens in January.

The reports further claimed that Burnley are interested in Ross Barkley and will make a move to sign him on loan in January.

It is believed that Burnley manager Sean Dyche is willing to improve his options in midfield and has identified Ross Barkley as a needed addition to the squad.

That said, it remains to be seen if the attacking midfielder will decide to fight for a starting shirt at Chelsea or give green light to a move to Burnley next.
