Sit-At-Home Order: Suspected IPOB Members Disrupts School Activities In Imo State.

Reports reaching us is that suspected Indegeneous People’s Of Biafra IPOB members on monday invaded schools and disrupted activities in part of Imo State.

We gathered that the students of Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkume in Njaba Local government area of the state were  preparing to sit for English in the ongoing Junior Secondary School Examination before gunmen forcefully dispersed them.

Both teachers and students scampered for safety as the gunmen shot sporadically into the air. Motorcycles belonging to some of the staff and students were set ablaze.

.Although there were no report of lost of lives, a video of the incident showed the students and staff shouting and running for their lives.

Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Mike Abattam, could not be reached for comment concerning the incident.

IPOB had declared Monday as sit-at-home to drum support for the release of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, who is facing some charges before an Abuja High Court.

This week, the sit-at-home is expected to continue on Tuesday as Kanu is expected to make an appearance in court.

The Executive governor of the state Hope Uzodima has on Sunday in a church service encourage the people of the state and resident to go about their business assuring them of security and safety of lives and property.

While speaking the governor urged the people to ignore and sit-at-home order.
