Valencia 1-3 Barcelona: How The Catalonian Victory Confirms Koeman’ Recent Complains.

Barcelona returned to winning ways on Sunday as the catalonian recorded an important victory against Valencia at the CampNou. As Barca prepared for the important clasico encounter with Real Madrid next week.

This first game after the international break  against Valencia is a boost despite conceding a goal under 5 minutes, Barcelona fought back and scored 3 goals to make a comeback victory. This is the first time this season that Barcelona will win a game after conceding first.Andy Fati scored his second goal of the season while Depay and Coutinho scored the other two goals. Koeman injury list continues to reduce with Kim Aguero also making his debut last night. 

The game against Valencia showed that Ronald Koeman was right about one thing. The manager has always complained about Barcelona injury list. According to him, it has limited his choices in formation and tactics. What Koeman was pointing out was clear against Valencia.

The manager switched to a 4-3-3 formation allowing Barcelona to attack more. With Fati, Barcelona was able to use the wings and this led to their first goal. One of the best performers in the game was Dest. He received a standing ovation when he left the pitch. The defender even gifted his shirt to a young fan.
In recent games, Dest has been playing as a left-back with Alba and Balde injured. This had limited his output on the pitch. However, with Alba’s arrival, Dest operated freely in his position and even assisted Barcelona’s second goal. With Coutinho also getting back to his form and Aguero’s arrival, Barcelona can turn their season around.
